Nature of Business

SecureShield is a licensed insurance broker registered with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). We facilitate the purchase of insurance products from various insurance companies and do not underwrite insurance policies ourselves.

Commission Structure

We receive brokerage/commission from insurance companies for policies sold through our platform. This commission is built into the premium and does not result in any additional cost to you. The commission rates vary by product and insurance company.

Conflict of Interest

We maintain strict policies to manage conflicts of interest. Our recommendations are based on your needs and requirements, not on commission rates. We provide transparent information about all available options.

Insurance is Subject to Terms and Conditions

All insurance products are subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions mentioned in the respective policy documents. Please read all policy documents carefully before making a purchase decision.

Cooling-off Period

Most insurance policies come with a free-look or cooling-off period during which you can cancel the policy and receive a refund of the premium paid, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Claim Settlement

Claims are settled by the respective insurance companies as per their terms and conditions. We provide assistance in claim filing and follow-up but do not guarantee claim settlement.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can register your complaint on the IRDAI's Integrated Grievance Management System (IGMS) portal at www.igms.irda.gov.in

Insurance Ombudsman

You can also approach the Insurance Ombudsman in your region for resolution of disputes. Details of Insurance Ombudsman offices are available on the IRDAI website.

Capital Adequacy

We maintain the minimum capital requirements as prescribed by IRDAI for insurance brokers. Our current paid-up capital is ₹75 lakhs, which exceeds the regulatory minimum.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

We maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance coverage of ₹1 crore as required by IRDAI regulations to protect against professional negligence claims.

Errors & Omissions Insurance

We have Errors & Omissions Insurance coverage to protect our customers against any errors or omissions in our services.

Regulatory Compliance

We are committed to full compliance with all IRDAI regulations and guidelines. Our operations are regularly reviewed to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

External Audit

Our financial statements are audited annually by independent chartered accountants. Audit reports are filed with IRDAI as per regulatory requirements.

We comply with applicable data protection laws and maintain strict confidentiality of customer information. Our data handling practices are regularly audited for compliance.
